Lodi Pizza on Route 46 West or T&J Pizza on Kipp Avenue in Lodi, NJ. The same family runs both of them. The best pizza, hands down.

There are quite a few Italian families who are in their 5th or 6th generation in the small town I live in. One such family is the Calabria's and they have a fantastic pizza shop called Coccia House .... people have the 1/2 baked pizzas shipped to them all over the country. It is very different than the style of pizza I grew up eating in the Italian neighborhood in Minneapolis, but boy...is it good! Here is a link http://www.cocciahouse.com/about.asp

My favorite pizza/pizzeria is called Grimaldi's in Brookyln. Right by the Brooklyn Bridge. I go there a few times a year with family and friends and even though there is a long wait outside (even in the dead of winter), the wait is worth it. On Valentines Day, you can request your pizza in a heart shape. They make the pizza thin-crust in the good old fashioned pizza oven. I learned from them that the sauce goes on the pizza after the toppings, not first. I highly recommend going there and afterwards walking down the street to the pier to see the beautiful view of NYC. There is also a homemade ice cream shop there too! I will post my photos in the Album section below.
