Directions/Steps
  • Pour the honey in a large enough pot to contain all the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Let it boil for about 10 minutes stirring every once in a while.
  • Add the chopped almonds and the orange peel and let it boil for 5 minutes while continuing to steer.
  • Place a pan with a removable border over a large plate and pour the mixture slowly into the pan. Or spoon the hot mixture over the orange leaves that will serve like miniature cupcake liners and also lend a faint scent.
  • When cold, remove the border from the pan, fix the edges of the aranciata, cut into bite-size pieces ot tiny wedges and and serve in small cups with a dessert spoon. Or serve the leaves directly (will leave sticky fingers).
  • Will keep in a tin box or wrapped in foil for at least two weeks.
