- Filling:
- 1 lb Ricotta cheese
- 6 teaspoons of unsweetened Cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons Amaretto liqueur
- Blackberry Sauce:
- 1 lb Blackberries (reserve some for garnish)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 lemon (squeezed for juice)
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 2 teaspoons tapioca powder (mixed with 4 teaspoons water for thickening sauce)
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon anise seed
- Topping:
- 8 oz heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 6 teaspoons confectioners sugar
