I have been making Cucidatha Cookies every Christmas since I was a young girl helping my Mom, and for the last 50 years for my family. My filling is different than this one, and my cookie dough is a butter cookie recipe. I roll the dough out approx. 12 inches long by 5 inches wide, and thin like you would for cut out cookies, then the filling goes down the center, over lap the dough over the filling, cut each cookie approx. 2 inches, then bake. when light to med. brown remove from oven and cool. frost with white frosting and sprinkle with colored sprinkles. If you are interested in my filling you can leave me a message and I will be glad to share (I have choco. chips, cinammon, etc. in mine) Amore' Joann
