Description

My great grandmother made this for holidays. The photo submitted shows the cookies on one of her dessert plates from Bavaria. This recipe is from the early 1900's.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark Karo syrup
  • 7 oz. milk with 1 Tbs vinegar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 Tsp baking soda
  • 4 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 Tsp ginger
  • dash salt
