i grew up fully immersed in Italian food from both sides of the family. Though my great grandparents and grandparents did not pass on the Italian language (so we never called them Nonna, sadly) they did share the love of food. Though I loved eating it, I never learned many of the recipes as I never had the chance to cook with my grandmothers and great aunts. When they passed, I inquired about their cooking notes, and I know my grandmother had a (very worn) notepad, but it couldn't be found. This site here has been the best resource for me to reconstruct their recipes and bring back the traditions from our childhood.
