I am 82+, both parents immigrants from Italy, mama from Avellino, papa from Reggio, Calabria, who are now long gone. Was married to an immigrant from Abruzzo, also deceased. Three children, three grand children. Love to cook, treasure recipes inspired by my relations and try to replicate as best I can, without the benefit of written recipes ... my mama would say, "watch". I would write what I saw her do but the next time she made the same item, it was always different. Thus, I have done the best I could to try to emulate what she did from memory with pretty good results.
