During my recent Culinary Tour in Sicily, in several restaurants we were served Cannoli Scomposti, a Deconstructed Cannoli. Same old ingredients as a traditional Cannolo but served in a very creative way that make for a beautiful presentation and fun to eat.
BTW: It also makes it easy to share!
- Put the Cannoli Cream in a pipimg bag and pipe the cream at the center of a serving plate in the shape of a rose.
- Brake the Cannoli shells longways and insert them in the creamin the design that you prefer.
- Garnish with crushed pistachio and chocolate syrup.
